Mission Statement

The Ralston Fire Department Explorer Post is dedicated to the training of young men and women ages 14-18 in the ways of the fire and rescue services.  It is our hope that they will become a positive force in their community and be prepared for careers in the fire/medical professions.

Membership

The membership shall be composed of individuals ages 14-18 that attend high school.There is an annual fee of $15.00 to remain active.All members must maintain an overall 'C' (2.0) average in order to maintain an active status in the post. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend one or more functions per year and are allowed to participate at anytime with the post. Officers of the post must be members for a period of 1 year prior to serving for the post.

The explorer post is a great tool to learn the ways of firefighting and emergency medical services. Basic firefighting and EMS skills are taught through the post. The goal is to give those in high school some first hand experience on what firefighters and emergency medical technicians do on a day to day basis.

Exploring is a great time that will give you life long skills that you can use for the rest of your life!!
